He completed his MD from PGIMER, Chandigarh and DM in Pediatric Gastroenterology from the prestigious Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow, and holds an MBA from BITS, Pilani. With over 17 years of clinical experience, Dr. Borkar is trained in advanced and critical endoscopic procedures, including ERCP, EUS and bowel ultrasound in children. His professional journey spans renowned institutions such as NH SRCC Children’s Hospital, Nanavati Max Hospital, and Global Hospital, Mumbai, where he has been instrumental in advancing

pediatric liver and gastrointestinal care. Currently, Dr. Borkar serves as the Director of Pediatric Hepatology, Gastroenterology, and Transplant Medicine at Gleneagles Hospital, Parel, Mumbai, and is also a Visiting Consultant at LTMMC, Sion. A passionate clinician, researcher, and academician, Dr. Borkar contributes to the medical community as a reviewer for leading journals. He has been in part of drafting many national guidelines for various health conditions in India.
